2nd Annual Back to School Kickoff Event
The Latino Center of the Midlands is hosting the second annual Back to School Kickoff event on Saturday, August 16th in partnership with Metropolitan Community College (MCC) Enrollment Services.  The event is being held at the MCC South Omaha Campus – Industrial Training Center (ITC) from 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
The 2014 Back to School Kickoff Event is an opportunity for families to participate in a fun and educational experience aimed at increasing school attendance, service learning, and family engagement. The overall objective is for families to kick off the 2014-2015 school year with knowledge of school policies and procedures along with resources aimed at improving their child’s school attendance and academic performance.
The event will host educational workshops for the entire family, a community resource fair, and a keynote presentation. Families in attendance include those served by the Pathways to Success and Adult Basic Education programs at the Latino Center.  For more information about the Back to School Kickoff Event, please contact us at (402) 733-2720.
